New FEDHASA board announced

Cullinan Hotel Cape Town – Earlier this month, the Western Cape Fedhasa board of directors were voted in. The team remained relatively unchanged apart from the departure of Roy Davies from the Vineyard Hotel and Fredrick Schaefer from the Westin Grand Hotel. Both General Managers have busy work schedules to deal with. Dirk Elzinger remains as Chairman. The hotel segment sees Jeff Rosenberg from the Southern Sun Waterfront as the new sector chairman, with Chris Godenir – GM at the Peninsula Hotel as alternate chair. Carol Armstrong Hooper remains as the sector chair for smaller accommodation with Susanne Faussner as alternate chair. Rey Franco remains as chairman of the restaurant and catering sector with Richard Key as alternate. Ally Strachan from Ciro remains as sector chair for the allied membership base with newcomer Klaus Becker from Caturra Coffee as alternate. Michael Oosthuizen, who has done a remarkable job in developing the youth segment remains at the helm of this sector.

A full year of work is waiting for the team, and amongst other tasks the state of the Tourism Industry in general.
